Most of Kelly’s 25 years has been in the private sector. As a partner, Kelly co-led a B2B marketing firm through a growth phase that more than doubled revenue, owned its people strategy and culture, and spent seven years advising technology and SaaS founders on positioning for growth and acquisition; two of those clients were later acquired. Kelly has advised Fortune 500 companies in energy and payments on company-wide change, spent five years in commercial real estate PR, and four in higher education, including an Ivy League university.

Kelly has also done this work where the stakes were highest: counseling the C-suite of a 70,000-member national organization through a leadership transition and an enterprise system rollout to every regional unit, consolidating three functions into one 30-person department as chief of communications for a military command, and preparing a county’s leaders to face the press during COVID-19.

Kelly is based in Germany and works with leadership teams in the US and Europe, co-hosts the Change of Pace podcast, and volunteers with FourBlock, helping veterans move into civilian careers.
