Communications, Strategy & Systems Partner for Founders and Executives

Lead like the founder your team needs.

For women founders and executives ready to build what comes next — without holding every piece themselves.

I diagnose what other people misdiagnose.

Many leadership problems get treated as communication problems. A founder gets coached on delivery, on style and preferences, on confidence, on presence — when the real issue is a decision nobody’s made, a team that’s agreed to something out loud and never actually bought in, or a system that’s still running on her personal effort because no one ever built the structure to replace it.

I’ve spent more than 20 years across public and private institutions, government, tech startups, and non-profits globally. Different industries, different vocabularies, but all with the same underlying gaps. Gaps between what leadership needed, what leadership said versus what teams heard, and what systems could — or couldn’t — deliver.

That range is the reason Serranova works. I’m not a specialist who’s only seen one kind of room. I’m the person who can tell you the room isn’t the problem — and build what’s missing once we know what is.

Who this is for

The woman who’s already succeeded by most measures — high-earning, credible, respected — and is done being the single point of failure in her own business. She’s not looking to do more. She’s ready to build the decisions, systems, and language that let things run without her holding every piece.

What I actually do

I diagnose what’s broken — in a decision, a team, a story, or a system — and build what’s missing. Sometimes that’s language: a voice that’s true to what you actually believe.

Sometimes it’s structure: the process that should have existed already.

Often I work as liaison between you and your team, surfacing what they already know but haven’t said, and translating what you need into something they’ll actually run — not just comply with.

That’s not softer work than strategy. It’s the same rigor, aimed at what’s actually broken instead of what’s easiest to name.

How I work

You can’t diagnose what you haven’t actually heard, so I listen closely. The empathy isn’t a softer counterpart to being direct. It’s what makes the diagnosis accurate.

What follows the listening is direct. Diagnostic. Unsentimental where it needs to be. I’d rather tell you something true and useful than something comfortable and vague — and I can only do that honestly because I understood the situation first.

If that’s the kind of partner you’re looking for:

Serranova Communications partners with founders to diagnose communication breakdowns, build leadership presence, and create cultures where teams want to show up and do their best work.

01 — REVEAL

The Substance Audit

What’s actually broken — and where?

A diagnostic engagement built to find the real gap between what your organization believes about itself and what’s actually happening underneath. You’ll get a precise, plainly-written account of what’s true — not a generic report, not a slide deck full of buzzwords.

02 — DECIDE

The Command Table

What needs to change — and what needs to be built?

Once I know what’s true, I build what’s missing — the decision, the structure, or the language you need to move. Not messaging polish. The actual systems and voice that are true to what your business needs now — and what it will need as your future foundation.

03 — BUILD

The Long Table

Clear decisions, built together.

My flagship, facilitation-led partnership. I work as liaison between you and your team — surfacing what they already know but haven’t said upward, and translating what you need into something they can actually run, so the fix doesn’t require you in every room to enforce it.

04 — START HERE

The Side Table

One decision. One conversation. One hour.

Not ready for a full engagement? Start smaller. Bring me the one thing you’re stuck on.

Not every problem needs a full diagnostic. Sometimes you just need an hour with someone who can actually hear what you’re describing and tell you what’s really going on — one decision, one conversation you’re avoiding, one place where you already suspect the real issue isn’t the one you keep naming out loud.

This isn’t a mini-Audit, and it isn’t a sales call disguised as advice. It’s a single, focused conversation about the one thing you brought to the table — direct, useful, and done in an hour.

Find Out Where to Focus First

Most founders I work with already know something’s off. They just haven’t had anyone willing to say it plainly. That’s what the Audit does.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because I believe that effective leadership is a direct result of effective communication, I focus on communication infrastructure — the systems, language, and leadership presence that make behavior change stick. I’m not here to make you a better version of someone else. I’m here to help you lead more clearly as yourself, set boundaries, and create a culture where every team members knows what to expect — and what’s expected of them.

My services are designed for founders and executives at distinct stages — from early-stage leaders identifying blind spots (The Substance Audit), to those building and leading teams (The Command Table), to scaling organizations ready to embed culture (The Long Table). I’ll help you figure out where you are and what you need.

The Substance Audit is a 4-week diagnostic engagement. The Command Table and The Long Table are ongoing monthly partnerships — most clients stay for 12 months.

Both. The Substance Audit and The Command Table are primarily founder-focused. The Long Table extends to the broader leadership team — culture work, retreats, and high-stakes communication support for the whole organization.

Every engagement begins with a discovery call to understand your situation, goals, and where communication is costing you. From there, we’ll figure out the right starting point and walk you through what to expect. No pressure, no sales pitch — just a real conversation.

If you sense that something in how you communicate as a leader is creating friction — with your team, your clients, or yourself — you’re ready. You don’t need to have it all figured out. That’s exactly what the Substance Audit is for.
